Defense Offices of Small Business Programs: Resources for Current and Future Requirements and Opportunities

Harry Epstein is the CEO Emeritus of Marine Electric Systems a company that has been manufacturing mission critical equipment for the Department of Defense since 1942. Their CAGE Code is 00062. Marine Electric Systems has earned a reputation for manufacturing monitoring and control systems and other products that have set a worldwide standard for superior performance. Harry exited Marine Electric Systems to create a new advanced manufacturing company called MESYS.

MESYS brings together decades of manufacturing expertise to meet both military and commercial specifications, while incorporating the advanced technology necessary to shape the future. With over 80 years of experience producing critical equipment for the U.S. military's nuclear propulsion systems, MESYS is now focused on supporting the sustainment needs of the U.S. Military.

The new company is dedicated to delivering high-quality, precision-engineered parts essential to supporting products no longer supported by the original equipment manufacturer and/or supporting sustainment needs in theatre.

Harry has supported the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) by serving as the Northeast Director of the Aircraft Carrier Industrial Base Coalition (ACIBC) for over 15 years, and serving as the head of the technical committee for that organization. He has long advocated for the tech transfer of critical knowledge to the next generation of DoD suppliers as well as active-duty personnel. Harry designed the widely used annual survey on the financial health of the Industrial Base.
